Theatre North Presents THE COLORED MUSEUM

Drama in the Museum? Yes, that is what you will find when Theatre North presents, George C. Wolfe’s, The Colored Museum, in the new Living ArtSpace. Staged as museum exhibits, this production satirizes the black experience in America in the 1980’s. It is comedy and entertaining drama told in eleven vignettes, which include Git on Board, Cookin’ with Aunt Ethel, The Photo Session, A Soldier with a Secret, The Gospel According to Miss Roj, The Hairpiece, The Last Mama-on-the-Couch Play, Symbiosis, Lala’s Opening, Permutations and The Party.

The production features a large dramatic cast directed by Dr. Rodney L. Clark, who wrote and produced the popular, Reverend I’m Available and JoAnn’s Struggling Soul. The show will be performed in the new Tulsa Living ArtSpace Museum, 307 E. Brady, on May 28, 29 at 8 p.m. and May 30 at 3 p.m.
