2010 Oklahoma Salute to Excellence Awards in Journalism: Call for Entries

NABJ-Tulsa is calling for entries for the 2010 Oklahoma Salute to Excellence Awards in Journalism, to be presented at the Oklahoma Salute to Excellence Banquet in Tulsa on December 11. The OSTE Awards in Journalism recognize excellence in the coverage of African-Americans and the Black experience. The competition will benefit professional development and student programs including the NABJ-Tulsa Yvonne Harris Urban Journalism Scholarship and the NABJ-Tulsa Urban Journalism Workshop.

DEADLINE: Entries must be postmarked to NABJ-Tulsa by October 29, 2010. Late Deadline is November 5, 2010 No exceptions. Materials must have been published or broadcast from July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010.

ELIGIBILITY: The awards are open to all media organizations and individuals involved in print, broadcast and/or online journalism media. Submissions must have been broadcast, published or emanated from the state of Oklahoma.
